Growing into Me with Bipolar

My Dogs

101_0165  This is my second dog, Sunshine.  She was about 9 in this picture. She is a german sheppard mix. She watched us digging holes for plants, and decided to try it herself.  She dug a few back up, and then settled for a lightly dug bed behind the flowers.

IMG_20141110_235728 This is my third, current doggie, Chou (like ‘joe’ but with a ‘ch’). It means butterfly in japanese.  the scarf she is wearing was what the shelter had given her, and it had butterflies all over.  She is 8.  She is a dauchshund (weiner dog) and German Sheppard mix.

I looked and looked on my computer for pictures of my first crazy dog, Bandit, but I cannot find a single one!  I think I vaguely remember having lost some images when i did a back up wrong or something.  In any case, no more Bandit pix.  He was a walker coonhound mixed with beagle.  they told us at the shelter that he was a beagle.  he was only 8 wks old, so we believed them.  then he grew.  A LOT.coonhound 2This is pretty much almost exactly what he looked like.  then throw in the smartness of a teenager + the energy of a 2 yr old…and you have Bandit!

each one of my dogs has been unique and crazy and incredibly loving and affectionate.  they all have needed me, and i needed them.  we helped each other.

And to everyone out there…..I’ll begin posting fresh new posts in a few days. i know it’s been a long time since i took a bit of a break from fresh posts, but i think it’s time to get back on that horse, as they say.

  4. Chou looks like our Dachshund mix. We don’t know what he is mixed with. The shelter picked him up as a stray so they had no info on him. All they could say was that he was about a year or 2 old.

  6. Awe so sweet. Chou has similar face shape to my jack Russell and I’m sure he has corgi in there somewhere. Dogs can mean everything when we’re struggling with any kind of difficulty in our lives
